This gallery displays a selection of work designed and manufactured by Barker & Patterson. It features examples of Heavy Structural Steel being installed on site showcasing the capability, versatility and experience acquired throughout their years in the business. All site operatives hold CSCS operative cards together with PASMA and IPAF accreditation.
What do we do?
All structural work is undertaken ~ Industrial, Commercial and Residential Support Steel, Secondary Steelwork. Bespoke Structures, Mezzanine Floors, Training Platforms, Lift Shaft Steelwork, Trimming Steels etc.

Stainless Door & Window Frames
Barker & Patterson manufacture high quality Stainless Steel products for use in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Food Manufacturing sectors. Each frame is hand made and custom sized, individually welded by hand, ground flush and polished or powder coated for a smooth finish facilitating easy cleaning.
What do we do?
Using 314 and 316 grade Stainless Steel Barker & Patterson also manufacture Clean Room furniture. ~ Worktops, Tables, Benches plus Stainless Canopies, Drainage Channels and Covers.

Architectural Heritage Restoration Work
Barker & Patterson work alongside specialist architects and contractors to retore, replace and tastefully repair Historic Steel and Iron work. The gallery displays a variety of work that has been undertaken on various Heritage Sites across the country.
What do we do?
Using Traditional Methods like Hot Riveting and working with Iron, Steel, Bronze and Lead the Team have completed renovations in Cathedrals, Theatres, Abbeys, Castles and Railway Stations amongst other ancient structures and land marks. Handrails, Bronze works, Heritage Railings including Traditional ‘Leading-in’ of restored Railings, Precisely Replicating Replacement Architectural Steelwork, Fabricating Traditional Roof Trusses Street Signs and Wall Plaques.

CNC & Sheet Metal
Sheet Metal is the basic foundation material of most fabricated items. Barker & Patterson use different materials in sheet form, Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Corten (trademarked term for weathered steel), are all used by the company.
What do we do?
The advancement in the capabilities of the fabrications industry brought about by CNC automation machinery was without doubt game changing. Barker & Patterson take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the technology. Punching, Plasma/Laser Cutting, Press Brake Precision Bending and Pipe Bending together allow manufacture of more complex assemblies as well as reducing overall cost by taking hours off production times.

What Materials do we use?
A wide range of materials are used depending on application, these include: Polished Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium and Corten. Other finishes are available for exterior or industrial applications like Powder Coating or Electroplating with Zinc or Cadmium. Stainless Steel and Glass Balustrading supplied to suit requirement.

Attractive and Functional Signage
Barker & Patterson use the latest laser CNC cutting technologies to create internal and external bespoke signage for domestic and architectural applications. A range of materials can be used to create high quality signs including Brass, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Corten Steel, as well as acrylic materials if required.
Just a thought
Business Signs look better in metal. They need to be durable and weather proof for external use. Nonferrous metals like Aluminium or Brass are rust resistant and produce attractive signage. Stainless Steel is also rustproof, minimum maintenance and highly eye catching with a number of surface finishes . Mild Steel might require a weatherproof Powder Coating but Corten Steel produces that attractive antique rusted finish that just gets better with time.
